The Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia is the governing body for the legal profession
The Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia (BAKC) brings together all lawyers who maintain an office and are authorized to practice law in the Kingdom of Cambodia. It is the official institution responsible for regulating, promoting, and protecting the lawyer profession. The Bar Association was established pursuant to the Law on the Status of Lawyers, promulgated on 15 June 1995. It is headed by the President of the Bar Association and governed by the Bar Council, whose members are elected from among the members of the Bar Association in accordance with the provisions of the law.
The President of the Bar Association serves a two-year term and may be re-elected for one additional consecutive term, while members of the Bar Council serve three-year terms. Currently, the Bar Council consists of 33 elected members. As the institution responsible for regulating the lawyer profession, the Bar Association is entrusted with ensuring and protecting the independence, integrity, dignity, and professional ethics of attorneys, as well as ensuring the quality and professionalism of legal services provided to the public.

Attorney SAING Vannak is currently serving as the President of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia for the 15th Mandate (2024–2026) and an experienced lawyer with more than 19 years of experience in the legal and justice sectors. Attorney SAING Vannak has held several important positions within Cambodia’s legal and justice institutions. He has also been elected as a member of the Bar Council for three terms, namely the 6th, 8th, and 10th Mandate. He remains committed to strengthening the lawyer profession, promoting the rule of law, and contributing to the development of the justice system in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

General Secretariat
The General Secretariat serves as the administrative body of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia, responsible for coordinating and managing the Bar's day-to-day operations. It works closely with the President, the Bar Council, and various departments to support the implementation of the Bar's duties, decisions, and policies, while ensuring that administrative tasks and service delivery are carried out smoothly, efficiently, and transparently.
